Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a few trusted colleagues give me ideas for blog posts that would help them or people they know in their job search. One of my favourite blogs (http://www.thedividendguyblog.com/) has this cool series where he explains how his investing process is outlined. He then keeps these posts featured on his homepage so that anyone who visits the blog has an idea on what he’s up to. SBN is going to take this idea and reapply it to our business. In addition to our regular posts on various topics, we will have an ongoing series on “how to get a job”.

The “how to get a job” concept is really broad. The good news is I can have content for years and years of posts! The plan for these posts it to be very specific; for example:

-How to research companies you want to work for

-Preparing your 30 second “elevator pitch”

-Working with a consultant for your cover letter/resume/interview (coughshamelessplugincomingcough)
